ESTERO, FL Designer Greg Green has been named Miromar Design Center’s May 2014 Designer of Distinction. Mr. Green is the owner of Fort Myers based Gg Designs. His impressive portfolio of projects ranges from multi-million dollar homes on the Gulf and beachfront summer condominiums to golf course club houses and private yachts.
“The convenience of using the showrooms at Miromar Design Center allows me to work on complete projects without having to run to various places to find products needed for the job at hand,” Green said. “Also, having a resource like Miromar Design Center adds integrity and brings the clients’ expectations to a much higher level of design and creativity.”
A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art and Case Western Reserve, Green says his approach to design involves a thorough understanding of his clients. “I find more times than not as clients are explaining what they are looking for, they talk about something in their travels or in their life that has stuck with them and makes them feel good. This will often give me a starting point to develop the style and direction in which I will take the project,” said Green. “It is extremely important to review the existing accessories, artwork, special pieces and collectibles in which clients have acquired in their travels around the world. Design is not only about creating a new environment, but making existing items new and fresh again by their placement. It gives clients the comfort they desire by incorporating their favorite things into their surroundings.”
Each month Miromar Design Center recognizes the talents, loyalty and support of interior design professionals based upon nominations from the center’s 45 home décor stores. Designers are honored for their professionalism, creativity and commitment to the showroom partners. “Greg Green has a great sense of style and is always a pleasure to work with,” said Kravet Showroom manager Amy Jimenez. “Greg is very dedicated to his work and makes sure that his clients have a unique home designed to fit their personality and lifestyle.”
