Living Room - Space 3I call my design concept, "Channeling Dorothy Draper". Dorothy Draper's was the first American Interior Decorator in many people's minds, and had a long time influence on how our society embellished their homes. The color scheme is from the art deco period, and is primarily black and off-white with a medium jade green background and the occasional "pop" of deep rose.
The room is unified in motif by the repetition of various geometric patterns of interlocking squares, circles and horizontal lines. This linear design pattern is further emphasized by the use of the Zebra pattern on the game chairs and area rug. The furniture style is an eclectic blend of both transitional pieces with a mix of contemporary accents.
