Free Saturday Seminars at Miromar Design Center in August

ESTERO, FL - The public is invited to attend the next series of exciting and informative events and seminars presented by Miromar Design Center, FREE and open to the public in the month of August.
Saturday August 7
2-4 p.m.
"Palladio Italian Villas"
Presented by Jean Renoux
Immerse yourself in the legacy and history of Palladio's architecture of the Renaissance; an architecture reproduced all over Florida. Presented by Jean Renoux (ASID, ALLIED AIA, CEI, AQS, and Member of the Society of Architectural Historians) of International Art & Architectural Tours & Seminars. Design Professionals earn 2 hour continuing education credits.

"Designing Green Interiors"
Presented by Melissa Allen of MGA Interior Design
Learn how to enhance remodel your current home or your future home with environmentally friendly solutions. Sustainability in our homes is a rapidly changing market and can be very overwhelming. Melissa G. Allen, Principal of MGA Interior Design, LLC. provides easily understood concepts related to the environmental issues in home furnishings, finishes and indoor air quality. Learn what to look for, what to avoid and how each option relates to different environmental concerns.

"Enhance your Home with Faux Art"
Presented by Art Morehead of Art-Faux Designs, Inc.
Come join artist Arthur Morehead of Art-Faux Designs for a faux finishing seminar and demonstration. If you missed it last month you won't want to miss this one as he demonstrates a Tissue Faux Finish. This versatile textured finish can be finished in multiple ways and Arthur will demonstrate one application processes anyone can do.

"Secrets of a Successful Mural Artist"
Presented by Artist Jan Ellen Atkielski
Murals are a great way to add impact to a space, visually enlarge a room and create cohesive color harmonies. "Secrets of a Successful Mural Artist" speaks not only to the process of creating murals, but the art of designing them to work with the vision of the client, the process of working effectively with decorators/designers and ways to market art in interior and exterior spaces. Jan Ellen is a "contemporary realist" who often works directly from nature, emphasizing the effect of color and natural light in her work. A professional artist with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art, Jan Ellen has exhibited for over 35 years and has an extensive list of collectors, both private and commercial.
Miromar Design Center also inspires both consumers and designers through ongoing seminars, educational programs, fundraisers, and social gatherings. The public is welcome at Miromar Design Center to buy and experience what great design can do to enhance your lifestyle. Design referral services and special event spaces are available.
