While Miromar Design Center's primary focus is the sale of home furnishing products, it is also deeply committed to fostering an environment of professional continuing education and consumer awareness. Every month, design professionals and consumers are invited to participate in a variety of exciting and stimulating presentations. From fashion shows and culinary delights to guest speakers and holiday inspired décor, there is always a new dimension to be discovered at Miromar Design Center. Many of these events are sponsored in conjunction with nationally recognized design magazines and other organizations with proceeds benefiting designated charities.

ASID Luncheon CEU
ASID Florida South Chapter invites you to a luncheon at the Miromar Design Center for a continuing education class, entitled: “Sustainable Lighting for Interiors”, presented by Sesco Lighting. This seminar will provide an outline of the codes that govern lighting, such as: lighting energy codes, lamp efficacy, luminaire efficacy, quality issues, toxicity and lighting design techniques.
Date: Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 12:00pm- 1:00pm.
*Check-in begins at 11:30am.

- Leslie Cheek, FASID, of Leslie Cheek Interior Design will present “How to Find and Work with a Designer” at 2:00 p.m.
- Ivy Scheinholz, Allied ASID, of Ivy Mary, Inc. will present “Today’s Design Trends” at 3:00 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. The Bistro, located in Suite 140, is open for lunch, coffee or a glass of wine.

You are invited to attend the next in a series of exciting and informative events and seminars presented by the Miromar Design Center, FREE and open to the public:
“Plant Material for Florida Landscapes”
Award winning landscape architect, Andrew Eisele of JRL Design Studios, located in Naples, will be presenting various plant species for use in Florida gardens. We will discuss seasonal plantings, textures, colors and the functional uses of plants for our environment. We invite you to come with questions that relate to Florida plants!
